Notes ASC brand pump includes a rubber o-ring only, no water pump gasket. Pre- April 2004 pumps include a sealant "groove." After April 2004 ASC removed this groove. You can use a sealant OR the gasket, either will work just fine. GMB brand pump is w/ water pump gasket AND rubber o-ring. There is NO "groove." You can use a sealant or the gasket provided, either will work just fine. NPW brand is w/ water pump gasket AND rubber o-ring. There IS a "groove." You can use a sealant or the gasket provided and it works fine.
